Beautiful restored chalet in the Haute Savoie nature reserve of Sixt-fer-a-Cheval. All services available. Few minutes to ski runs but car needed. Local shops and amenities 2km. Mountain biking, water rafting, rock climbing, para gliding, hiking in summer, nordic ski, alpine ski, dog sleding in winter. We are located in one of the most beautiful districts of Haute Savoie, which is home to many artisan shops and the most dramatic scenery; we are situated 2700 ft above sea level. From the Grand Plateries, Mont Blanc can be seen at 4810 m. The Grand-Massif offers 265 km of pristine ski runs. Hundreds of km of walks and outdoor activities. The village of Samoens is very pretty full of interesting buildings. The atmosphere is typical soviard arts and craft and retains its charm as a village for the locals not too commercialised. Samoen is said to be one of the last undiscovered ski resorts in France.
